  My whisper was almost silenced completely by the music, but he moved to me like he heard every word. My lips parted with surprise when he went down on one knee. He fondled my messy tresses like they were something precious, stroking his knuckles along my cheekbone.

  "How do I want you?" he mused, skating his fingertips over my collarbone. "Just as you are, Lay. Just as you are."

  Without warning, he took my face in his hands and kissed me like his life depended on this moment. Ground his mouth into mine like he wanted to imprint his taste on me and mine on him.
